8th Annual Skiing & Snowboarding Weekend

 @ Snowshoe, WV

March 8-10, 2013

Join Meetup groups from FL, SC, NC, VA, and DC for a fun filled skiing, snowboard, and mingling weekend at Snowshow ski resort in West Virginia. For those of you that aren't into skiing or snowboarding, there is plenty of others things to do - you can enjoy the village, rent snowmobiles, snowshoes, snowtubes or just enjoy the hot tubs.
    

We have put together a really great group package, which includes two nights (Friday and Saturday) stay at the Summit Condos, near Village Central.  Our condos have three bedrooms so they will provide much more space, living area for hanging out, and also have full kitchens. Condos hold a max of 6.

PLEASE NOTE: This event is designed to accommodate singles or couples, but is an adult only event.  If you have a roommate (sharing the same bed), then you need to choose the "Double Room" option. You must specify your roommate for this choice. The single room option is 1 person per room, there are just some rooms not suitable for 2 people in a room. This option is not suitable for couples. If you're a couple please choose 2 Double Rooms.

 If you want to share a condo with your friends you must sign up by January 15, 2013 and specify your condo mates- sorry changes to condos may incur extra fees after Jan 1st.

This event is for two nights only, if you want an additional night please contact us and we can hook you up.

This trip is being hosted by Meetups in FL/SC/NC/VA/DC/MD.  It will fill up quickly - so make sure you get in your deposit and RSVP as quickly as possible.

Typical Itinerary:

Friday Night- 5pm checkin at the organizer's condo, night tubing and party at Connections Night Club

Saturday- skiing and/or snowboarding, snow mobiling, group dinners at various restaurants

Sunday- skiing and/or snowboarding and then checkout by noon

Directions from the DC Area

Take I-66 to I-81 then take I-81 to Strasburg exit (only 3 miles) to Hwy 55 West

Take Hwy 55 West (through Wardensville) to Morefield left at Hwy 28

Take Hwy 28 all the way down to 1 mile past Greenbank (Local Hwy 66)

Take Local Hwy 66 through Cass and the back way to Snowshoe resort.

 When you arrive at the resort look for the Summit Condos 

From North Carolina

Take I-77 North into West Virginia then take I-64

Take 219 to Local Hwy 66 through Cass 

Now for the fine print: Be sure to completely read the waiver. Also please be aware that we can't reserve specific rooms or condos- we can assign roommates and condomates but the rooms go to first to arrive. Each person must sign up and sign the waiver, if you are a couple and want to share a room please let us know, you'll need to pick 2 double rooms in order to share. If you don't choose a roommate when you sign up or by Jan 15th we will assign one for you. We try to accomodate roommate requests the best we can but can't change rooming assignments within 30 days of the event or after you arrive. The same goes for condomates- you'll be asked to pick condomates when you sign up otherwise we won't be able to accomodate your requests.
